SHADOW MAKES THE MOVE TO UNIVERSAL IN THE USA

We have just received word that DJ Shadow has been signed by Universal Records. Although his contract is still held by Island Records in England, this announcement marks the end of a long struggle by Shadow to switch homes within the USA. According to Shadow: "It's significant because I've never been at a label in the states where someone had to fight for me; I've always just been dumped in people's laps as the parent company overseas kept downsizing. Now I'm at a place where everyone is mutually excited about future prospects and, of course, the new album." Latest word is that the album could be released as soon as July...stay tuned!!!
