New Remix Project Selections!

Posted Nov 17, 2009

This week, we have not one but TWO runners-up for the DJ Shadow Remix Project.

-"Missing On The Motorway (Shadow Vs. Everything But The Girl)," Remix by Tiger Mendoza (AKA Ian De Quadros) from the UK. This is a brilliant mash-up that includes Shadow's "Blood on the Motorway" (from "The Private Press" album). DJ Shadow: "The rare mash-up that creates an entirely new take on both source tracks, awesome job." Take a listen:

-"This Time (Now Is the Time Mix)" by Suonho (AKA Tommaso Berardocco) from Italy. Shadow says this remix of his track "This Time," (from "The Outsider" album) is "a very tasteful and well-arranged interpretation that amps up the funk quotient."
Check it out:

DJ Shadow and the DJShadow.com team continue to go through all of the remix entries day by day. Even if you posted a mix at the beginning and haven't been selected yet, don't assume that you didn't win; Shadow is listening to the mixes out of order, so keep checking back!

Here are the Remixes that have been selected so far:

This is a good remix, the beat is hot! I like what Shadow said, gives people the motivation they need to pursue their talent. Get a bold automatic watch and all is cool mate!

I think these tracks are superb after a long heavy weekend listening to some funky beats i have now got to crack on and build my bathroom cabinet!

Awesome. Hope you don't mind I made a ringtone from it for my new shiny preview samsung wave s8500? It's fabulous, I sit in the tram all day to call myself with my other phone to make everybody rock!

Loving these remixes - well good. I particularly like the Berardoco remix. So funky I was dancing at my desk while I was supposed to be working on some bathroom designs.

That first remix track by Tiger Mendoza is sick, definitely my favorite and worth the recognition. The second one by Suonho is pretty good too; the beat is hot! I like what Shadow said, gives people the motivation they need to pursue their talent.
