A motion picture documentary featuring Shadow is premiering at the SXSW Convention in Austin, Texas on March 13th. Entitled "Thunder Soul," the film captures a subject close to his heart: the legendary Kashmere Stage Band. Shadow befriended bandleader Conrad O. Johnson during several visits in the '90s, and speaks on his passion for the band's music. You can see the scheduled playing times here:

Early reports indicate that the movie is fantastic, one of the most tastefully done and sympathetic portrayals of funk music to ever grace the screen. Many of the original members of the band will be in attendance at the premier, and who knows...maybe Shadow will be there as well. Make sure you come down to check it out!
